Seeking Members for the Hometown Heroes Banner Committee

The Pleasant Valley Town Board is seeking (3) dedicated volunteers to join the Hometown Heroes Banner Committee.

This committee will be meeting monthly with Jeff Cady (President, Salt Point Firehouse) and Mary Beth Muir (Town Clerk) to support our local veterans and their families by putting Hometown Heroes Banner in the town’s (3) Hamlets, Pleasant Valley, Salt Point and Washington Hollow. These banners will hang from Central Hudson’s electrical poles.

You must be a resident of Pleasant Valley and be willing to do research to help the families honor their loved ones.

Town Veterans Affair Committee Members Needed

The Town of Pleasant Valley is seeking three volunteers to serve a five year term on the Town’s Veterans Affairs Committee. Each member shall be a resident of Pleasant Valley, and shall have been honorably discharged from the Armed Forces of the United States, the Ready Reserve, or the National Guard. Veterans that are still currently serving are also eligible to serve on the committee. The committee shall meet on a monthly basis.

The Town’s Veterans Affairs Committee will address the needs of our town’s Veterans and their families to advise the Town Board on Veterans issues and plan Veterans events in the Town.

COVID-19 Re-Opening Procedures and Health Sanitation for Employees, Town Hall and Residents

Town Hall will be opening on Monday, August 10, 2020 with several restrictions. Only 3 people will be allowed in the building at one time. Copies of protocols are available upon request in the Town Clerk’s office or by email: townclerk@pleasantvalley-ny.gov. We will provide any updates or changes to the policy/list as they become available. Please note new procedures for all Town meetings effective immediately.
